Press Release

Coastal Technologies Group, Inc. Goes Green

CTGi is a green company, participating in activities of the X Prize Foundation and the Lindbergh Foundation, and fostering policies that reduce our carbon footprint. CTGi’s data center draws power from non-polluting nuclear sources, and all but a handful of CTGi employees are encouraged to telecommute, saving both time and energy. CTGi’s founders have sponsored a 2007 Lindbergh Grant to further the balance of Technology and the Environment, and the X Prize Foundation with prizes in Energy, Transport and Genomics. In addition Richard and Susan Kane participate in Carbon Fund, helping to re-forest enough land to neutralize our personal and business travel carbon usage.

In 2007 Richard and Susan participated in an Antarctic expedition with 15 researchers on species diversity, climate change, and sustainable use. This dual use expedition also involved business meetings with thought leaders in our industry.
